Fair Trade

At Eswatini Kitchen we believe that the world can be a better place to live and we contribute by adhering to Fair Trade principles. We create opportunities for economically disadvantaged producers and pay our staff fair wages. We recognised that training was critical to develop the company�s international business capacity, and provided support in business management and capacity building. The staffs working at the factory was given tutoring in basic literacy, with those in key positions receiving computer training. HACCP requirements were introduced, enabling the project to compete internationally responding to international food industry and export requirements.

 

Eswatini Kitchen is Fair Trade certified by the Cooperation for Fair Trade in Africa (COFTA) and the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). With these certificates, company agrees to comply with certain trading terms such as fair trade, creating job opportunities for the disadvantaged producers, payment of fair prices, fair trade practises, forbidding gender inequality and child labour, respecting the environment as well as providing good working conditions.
